Seminars and Workshops

The following seminars are currently available:

Will and Trust Basics, a discussion of the basic concepts, need for, and uses of wills and trusts.  We include discussions on topics such as who needs a will/trust, different types of wills and their uses, and different types of trusts and their uses.  This workshop is for all adults. Call to schedule.

Estate Planning Basics, a discussion of the basic concepts of estate planning, the tax laws, how proper planning can reduce tax costs, types of wills and trusts, and other related material.  This seminar is designed primarily for church members who are at an age to have a concern with developing their estate plan.  Typically this would be for members age 45 and above.  However, younger members hearing this material will often encourage their parents to take steps to develop an estate plan.  Of course, we discuss giving to the church as part of the estate planning process. Planned Giving Basics, a discussion of the various planned giving tools that can be used by your members.  This seminar can be used to educate your Endowment Committee or to be presented as an educational seminar to your members. Call to schedule.

Tax Wise Giving, This seminar is intended for a church involved in a capital campaign to raise money for a building addition, remodeling, etc.  We discuss many creative ways to gain tax benefits through gift planning and the use of assets other than cash. Call to schedule.
